The oldest was the DD (DD Studios Group) RLV Medallion; then we upgraded to the TK RLVR HUD. This was based on Maike Short's relay, the one with all the scripts on the relay web site. We added to her relay, created the appearance of the lock on the HUD with the color schemes indicating current state: Red with an overlayed "NO" circle for OFF, green, for ASK, and yellow for AUTO. We also reused red (but with no circle) indicating our HARDCORE mode whic, once you're in it, cannot be undone. There was always the option to turn off the relay using the safeword and life was good.

Somewhere around the end of 2008 we knew it was time to upgrade the relay. Maike had made various improvements in her relay (fixing some nasty little bugs), she'd also added to the relay spec and we wanted to be in compliance. And then we got this crazy idea. Why not make a relay that allowed control by multiple devices? It was an interesting challenge and no one was advertising anything like it at the time and so we did it, we took Maike's latest relay code, tore it apart and rebuilt it to make the 5IVE. We've gone through some changes since then and now have the tk PBA. So, what's new?

First of all, we added 5 pips to the lock to indicate how many different devices are currently in control. Five was an arbitrary number, but we reasoned it as one area control device, one toy and then up to three remote controls. We took it up to five in testing but rarely does it get more than two and it is a very rare occurrence to go over three (it does happen though and that can be fun).

We redesigned safeword and added a "real world" option in addition to our existing self-release mode. With the real world safeword, you have to ask someone around you to be released. If they say yes you're free, if they say no, well, you're stuck for a little while. But, you chose real world so that's reasonable! If you get stuck for too long the relay eventually goes into self-release safeword and you can get out. Another new safeword feature is that if you're under the control of one or more devices and you touch the relay you get some choices. You can safeword out as normal, or you can escalate the level of your safeword either to real world or to off! As before though, once you turn off the safeword feature, it will stay off.

We made public how we were supported enforced mouselook and created !x-vision, an extension to the relay standard that is supported by the Open Relay Group. We're trying to support as many of their extensions as possible, so that if it is documented we support it.

Thinking of supporting extensions... A lot of people told us that they really needed the ability in the relay to stop certain items from being removed. So, listening to demand, we've created the LOCKER functionality. This allows you to stop single items, specified groups of items or even everything you're wearing to be blocked from removal. You can unset that the same way. As long as you wear the PBA the items it locked on will stay locked on, even if the PBA relay is turned off.

We're always interested in pleasing the customers, so, if you let us know, and we thing we can do it, we'll make it.

Chloe1982 Constantine

RLRelay Lite

This can be found in-world at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Murphy/109/197/26%3C

Cost: Free

The following is taken from the included notecard.

The RestrainedLife Relay works as a translation device between any kind of RL enabled furniture or cages and your RestrainedLife viewer.

Until now it has not been possible to create RL enabled items that are not worn as an attachment. Since RestrainedLife v1.10 this is going to change. To make use of this great new feauture you need some sort of relay device which will do the translation between the inworld-object and the viewer as this normally is done by your attachment. This is what the RLRelay does.

It comes as a convenient HUD so you wont have to sacrify any valuable attachment points and aways can see the current status with a glance.

To protect you from griefing attacks (objects that are not allowed/supposed to enforce restrictions) the default mode is "Ask" which (you already guessed) will ask you for permissions to connect to your RestrainedLife viewer before any operations are permittet. You also can change its mode to "Accept any" which will *always* grant permissions (please be carefull with this) and "Never" which will matter of factly disable the relay so inworld objects will not be able to use it at all.

As a further meassure of protection the device will verify if the object that tries to contact you is owned by the same group as the land its placed on. If both are set to "No group" the of course permissions are granted to. In public places objects are always owned by the group unless they are rezzed by visitors.

Since the relay comes as a HUD device of couse you can minimize it to reduce screenspace.

Features:
- Allows you to use your RestrainedLife Viewer with every RL enabled furniture or cage
- 3 Modes of operation: Accept all, Ask, Disabled
- Always displays current state
- Minimizes to reduce screenspace
- Detects if you are using the RestrainedLive viewer and wont spam you otherwise
- Its FREE!

Prims: 1 HUD-Attachment

Permissions: Transfer

LDB RestrainedLife Ring of Submission v1.6.0 (Restrained Life)

This device can be found in-world at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Mournful/231/9/77
It can be found on XStreet at https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=646281
There is a link to a web store, although, I was unable to get the page to load. http://shop.onrez.com/Tiessa_Montgolfier

Cost: L $499

The following is taken from the item's description.

The Ring provides owners access to all functionality provided by the Restrained Life Viewer. No other Restrained Life controller provides such comprehensive access to the functionality provided by the viewer, now the owner can take off clothing and attachments, lock outfits, force sitting on an object, prevent standing, lock channel communications, full teleport control, and more.

If your sub owns an Amethyst collar, you may prefer the Amethyst Collar plugin version of this device. If you are looking for a complete collar with all of the Ring's functionality and more, you may prefer the Submissive Collar.

The ring's features include ownership lists for both primary and secondary owners, petnames, petgroups, and the ability to address multiple pets at once.

All owners will be notified if the sub ever logs in without the RestrainedLife client - never again wonder if they've found a way to circumvent the restrictions.

Have them wear the ring and set you as owner and know they are securely under your total control. By default the ring attaches to the left hand.

To use the functionality of this ring, the RestrainedLife Viewer must be used by the sub. The RestrainedLife Viewer is a modified version of the SecondLife client software that provides a wide range of functionality for enhancing the bondage experience. It is available for download and the developer, Marine, has a blog covering the RestrainedLife enhancements.

New!
=== Version 1.6.0 ===
* Added support for the new commands in the 1.16/1.17 versions of the RLV.
* Added 'nosit' and 'maysit' to enable/disable sitting.
* Added 'nopermdialogs' and 'permdialogs' to enable/disable permission dialogs.
* Added 'maysetdebug' and 'nosetdebug' commands to enable disable changing debug settings.
* Added 'renderres' to set the render resolution divisor debug setting.
* Added 'blind' and 'see' to make the avatar blind/see.
* Added 'add-chatchannel' and 'del-chatchannel' to redirect chat to various channels.
* Added 'sex' to set the avatar sex debug setting.
* Added 'rotate' to rotate the avatar to the specified angle (in degrees)
* Modified 'listinv' to accept subfolder arguments.
* Added 'all' as a petname that matches everyone.

=== Version 1.5 ===
* Added support for the new commands in the 1.15 version of the RestrainedLife viewer.
* Chat 'volume' limiting commands, preventing shouts, whispers, or talking above a whisper.
* Changed 'attach-all' and 'detach-all', the RLV folder commands to 'add' and 'remove', preventing confusion with command 'attach all' and 'detach all'.
* Added 'add-all' and 'remove-all', does 'add' or 'remove' on a folder and all subfolders.
* 'nostand' prevents teleporting now.
* Allow people to forcibly teleport the sub via a teleport offer without any ability to refuse.
* Support for setting Windlight graphic properties.
* Automatic update checking and upgrading.
* Tattle on sub's chat messages.
* Mind Control commands.

=== Version 1.4 ===
* When an avatar name is required for a command, the avatar no longer needs to be nearby.
* Integrated relay, eliminating the need for a separate device.
* Reduced the extra info in the 'status' command to only essentials/non-defaults. Come visit our inworld store or view our products on the web at SLExchange or our online store at OnRez.

Features

====== Issuing Commands ======
By typing various commands, subs that you own can be made to do various things. Commands issued on channel 7, unless that was changed by the "channel" command, are obeyed by all subs within listening distance. Specific subs or groups of subs can be addressed with petnames. Commands typed in normal chat, must be addressed with a petname or petnames for it to work. See the "Petnames" section below for how to use and address subs with petnames.

For example:
/7 takeoff underwear : All subs within hearing distance will have their underwear removed.
/7 susan! takeoff underwear : Only Susan will have her underwear removed.
takeoff underwear : Will not work, because it wwas not addressed to a pet or pets.
susan! takeoff underwear : Only Susan will have her underwear removed.

====== Petnames ======
Petnames provide a flexible method for addressing and commanding one or more pets. By default, all pets begin with their firstname as their petname. More may be added by unowned subs or their owners. When commanding the pet, using a petname before the command limits the command to only that pet or multiple pets who all share the same petname. By assigning the same petname to multiple pets, you can address a command to a flexible subset of your pets. Multiple pets can be addressed at once by placing a comma (no spaces), between their petnames when addressing them. The petname 'all' matches to every pet within hearing range.

For example, if you had a sub with the petnames "susan" and "girls", a sub with the petnames "bob" and "boys", and a sub with the petnanes "karen" and "girls". You can do the following:

susan! takeoff underwear : susan will take off her underwear
girls! takeoff underwear : both susan and karen will take off their underwear
boys! takeoff pants : bob will take off his pants
susan, bob! takeoff pants : susan and bob will take off their underwear

--- Petnames Commands ---
petnames : Lists all of the sub's petnames.
addpetname <petname> : Add a name to the sub's petnames. No spaces allowed. All owners and unowned sub command.
rempetname <petname> : Remove a petname from the sub's list. Primary owner and unowned sub only command.
clearpetnames : Clear all petnames. Primary and unowned sub only command.

====== Ownership ======
The ring enables the sub to have a single primary owner and multiple secondary owners. All avatar names must be the full name with proper capitalization.

--- Ownership Commands ---
owners : Lists the owners and secondary owners of the sub.
addowner <avatar name> : Add the named avatar as a primary owner of the sub. Primary and unowned sub only command.
remowner <avatar name> : Remove the named avatar as a primary owner of the sub. Primary owner only command.
addsecowner <avatar name> : Add the named avatar as a secondary owner of the sub. Primary and unowned sub only command.
remsecowner <avatar name> : Remove the named avatar as a secondary owner of the sub. Primary and unowned sub only command.
clearsecowners : Clears the list of secondary owners. Primary and unowned sub only command.
confirm-runaway : Runs away from the current owners, clearing all owners and secondary owners. Sub only command.

--- General Commands ---
channel <number> : Changes the channel for issuing commands to the specified channel. Primary and unowned sub only command.

*** New in Version 1.5 ***
sex : Prints the sub's current sex.
sex
> Set's the sex of the sub. The default sex is female.
subname <new name> : Uses the new name when printing text about the sub and with the 'say' and 'emote' commands.

--- Spying Commands *** New in Version 1.5 *** ---
tattle <on | off> : Turns on/off tattling. The owner receives a copy of whatever the sub says, emotes, etc.

--- Mind Control Commands *** New in Version 1.5 *** ---
say <text> : Says the given text as if it was coming from the sub (sort of). Uses 'subname' as the name to speak with.
emote <text> : Emotes the given text as if it was coming fromthe sub (sort of). Uses 'subname' as the name to emote with.
whisper <text> : Whispers the given text as if it was coming from the sub (sort of). Uses 'subname' as the name to speak with.
shout <text> : Shouts the given text as if it was coming from the sub (sort of). We'll call this folder the "shared root".
* Move a folder containing restraints or other attachments directly into this new folder, that's it !

So it would look like this :

My Inventory
|- #RLV
| |- cuffs
| | |- left cuff (l forearm)
| | |- right cuff (r forearm)
| |- gag
| |- gag (mouth)
|- Animations
|- Body Parts

For example : If you're owning a set of RR Straps and want to share them, just move the folder Straps BOXED under the shared root.

- Either wear all the items of the folders you have just moved (one folder at a time !) or rename your items yourself, so that each item name contains the name of the target attachment point. For example : "left cuff (l forearm)", "right ankle cuff (r lower leg)".

The attachment point name is the same as the one you find in the "Attach To" menu of your inventory, and is case insensitive (for example : "chest", "skull", "stomach", "left ear", "r upper arm"...). If you wear the item without renaming it first it will be renamed automatically, but only if it is in a shared folder and does not contain any attachment point name already. If you want to wear it on another attachment point, you'll need to rename it by hand.

Pieces of clothing are treated exactly the same way (in fact they can even be put in the folder of a set of restraints and be worn with the same command). Shoes, for instance, are a good example of mixed outfits : some attachments and the Shoes layer. Clothes are NOT renamed automatically when worn.

GOTCHAS :
* Do NOT put several levels of folders inside the shared root, it wouldn't work. For instance, do not create a folder named "Restraints" and put the "Straps BOXED" folder inside it.
* Do NOT put a comma (',') in the name of the folders under the shared root or it would screw the list up.
* Don't forget to rename the items in the shared folders (or to wear these items at least once to have them be renamed automatically) or the force attach command will appear to do nothing at all.
* Avoid cluttering the shared root with many folders, since some scripts may rely on the list they got with the @getinv command and chat messages are limited to 1023 characters. Choose wisely, and use short names.

EK RLV Relay v2.05

This item can be found in world at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hyades/70/157/27

Cost: Free

The following is taken from the included Note cards.

****************************
*                          *
*       Evil Kitten        *
*                          *
*   RLV EK Relay   v2.03   *
*                          *
****************************

INSTRUCTIONS

This is a relay item for Marine Kelley's Restrained Life Viewer (RSLV) - it takes commands from items of furniture (cells, cages, etc) and transmits to your viewer, in order to prevent teleporting out of cages and other similar tricks. This is version 2, which operates slightly differently from version 1, and is also more reliable.

It comes as a small invisible item that can be worn anywhere. (You can also take the script out and put it in your collar, hair, etc). When the Relay is active, it is also locked on and can't be removed. If you are free from restrictions, you can also detach the Relay.

To set up the operation of the item, say /77menu. You will then get a menu of options to set up the operation of the script. You cannot change options if the Relay is actually restricting you (so no cheating by turning the relay off). The commands are as follows:

Off - This shuts down operation of the Relay until you turn it on again. All requests from in-world items will be silently ignored.

On - This turns the Relay on again.

Mode - Brings up a sub-menu with the different operating modes. These are different from those of other Relays. See below.

Allow - You can set up a list of trusted people, so that requests from objects owned by people on the trusted list will always be accepted no matter what mode is set (as long as the Relay is not off). Each time you click the Allow button, you can add a new person by saying their name on the open chat channel (case-sensitive). You yourself are automatically on the trusted list, so you will always be affected by objects owned by you. Warning: this feature is intended for short lists only.

List - Tells you who is on the trusted list.

Remove - Works like "Allow", but removes people from the trusted list.

Channel - Allows you to set a new channel to call up the menu on instead of 77.

Auto On - Auto is an option whereby if the script can't automatically approve a request from an in-world object, the request is rejected at once. This is off by default; this command enables it. In Auto mode, you will never get dialog boxes, either a restriction will be accepted by the Relay or it will silently be rejected.

Auto Off - This restores the normal behaviour, in which case any requests that the Relay is unsure about will be passed to you for manual approval.

OPERATION MODES

Land YES/NO - If this option is set, requests from objects that are set to the same group as the land they sit on will always be accepted. This will be the case, for instance, with cages in public BDSM play areas. This will also cause requests from objects owned by the landowner to be accepted automatically.

Group YES/NO - If this option is set, requests from objects that are set to the same group as your active group will always be accepted. This is useful for dealing with group items where the group itself doesn't actually own land.

All YES/NO - If this option is set, all requests made to your Relay will automatically be accepted, whatever the source. Use this at your peril!

If "All" is set to YES, every request will always be accepted at once, no matter what your other settings. Otherwise, you can have any combination of "Land Group" and "My Group" set. If neither are set, all requests will have to be approved by you individually, unless the object belongs to someone on your trusted list. If neither are set and Auto is on, all requests will be rejected, unless the object belongs to someone on your trusted list. This gives you quite a bit of flexibility in deciding how you want things to work.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

A huge thanks to Marine Kelley for all the work she put into this, also to all the others in the relay development community who contributed.

Daisy Rimbaud

**Update Card Info (included)**

WHAT'S NEW

1) Extensively updated for more reliability.
2) Interface is easier to use (menus persist until dismissed).
3) Land group mode and user group modes are no longer mutually exclusive (both can be active).
4) New operation mode - accept ALL requests! (Dangerous, but it's there is you feel daring).
5) "Insecure" mode no longer supported (this allowed you to unlock a locked relay within 60 secs of logging on).
6) Relay no longer tries to remember items from which requests were refused (more trouble than it was worth).
7) Script can be taken out of supplied attachment and added to collar, hair or other attachement if wished.
8) Gesture supplied to call up menu (just press F7!).
9) Extra stability and bug fixes (in v2.03).

Witchy Remote HUD 1.0 (top) - demo

This item is available in-world at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shark/41/91/62
It can also be found on XStreet at: https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1476452

Cost: L$4

The following is taken from the item description.

DISCLAIMER: this demo is quite outdated, compared to the full item. The Dominatech iControl System is a high-tech alternative to the current crop of collars and cuff sets. It is a comprehensive RestrainedLife control solution, covering a wide range of needs in one integrated package. Components and features include:

* iControl Implant: A HUD representing a chip implanted in the brain of the wearer (sub), putting them firmly under control.
** Animate: Force the sub into any supplied animation, or add your own.
** Bind: Apply the restraints to bind the sub and possibly immobilize them (depending on which restraints).
** Clothing: Undress, detach, lock subs out of their wardrobe, and wear or remove sets from the #RLV folder.
** Leash: Take the subs leash, or chain them to any object. Leash can go from any worn LockGuard collar/cuff to any person or object!
** Follow: Force the sub to follow you, another person, or any object (more amusing with moving objects).
** Confine: Force the sub to stay in a particular place, from a specific spot to a 40m wide area.
** Sit: Force the sub to sit on a particular object, and/or deny their ability to stand up.
** Control: Control the sub's movement. Walk them around as easily as you walk yourself!
** Abilities: Individually allow or deny numerous abilities, such as the ability to teleport, to talk, to hear, or even to see!
** Release All: Each individua restriction can be disabled from its own menu, but you can easily release all restrictions from here.
** Timer: Set a timer to keep the sub restrained until it expires, from minutes to days. Only online time counts!
** Set Key: Set who can release the sub, anyone, anyone but the sub, owners only, or just you.
** Teleport: Teleport the sub to you, or teleport them anywhere using landmark drag'n'drop! (See "Remote Control" below.)
** Ownership: Add/remove owners, set "Hardcore" mode where sub has no control of owners and can be bought/sold by others.
** Lock/Unlock: Prevent the sub from removing the implant, receive IM notification if they cheat.
** Public/Owner Mode: Allow anyone to control the sub, or restrict access to owners only.
** RLV Relay: No need to wear an RLV Relay in addition to the implant, that functionality is built-in.
** iCuffs: Control the features and appearance of the iCollar and iCuffs from menus. (See "iCollar and iCuffs" below.)

* Remote Control: A HUD from which to command the implant, from anywhere on the Grid!
** Control sub from anywhere in SL. Just click on the remote to bring up the sub's implant's menu, or click-n-hold to switch subs.
** Teleport the sub to any location in SL simply and easily! Just drag a landmark from your inventory onto the remote and off they go!
** Control the sub's speech! Use the gestures including with the remote make the sub /whisper, /say, or /shout whatever you specify.
** Control the sub's thoughts! Use the /think gesture to put thoughts in their head!

* iCollar and iCuffs: A set of stylish, futuristic restraints; a nice break from the "industrial" look.
** Set collar and/or cuffs to be always visible, or hidden when not in use.
** Hidden cuffs appear and activate automatically when bound or when sub "sits" on LockGuard-compatible furniture.
** Collar/cuffs can use standard chain links, or switch to the forcefield emitters for links of glowing force!
** iCollar has built-in collapsible yoke.
** Modifable, but also easily adjustable in appearance from the implant menu. Select a built-in color scheme or adjust colors of parts individually.
** Use of the iCollar and iCuffs is optional. Most iControl Implant functions work without any cuffs, and the "Bind" and "Leash" functions work with any collar or set of cuffs as long as they are LockGuard-compatible. However, the "yoke" bindings will probably look odd if not using the iCollar.

* iPost: A leash post for use with the iControl System. Since your can leash to any object, this post isn't needed, but it has some nice features:
** Click the post for a menu of nearby subs, click their names to leash or unleash them. Requires fewer clicks than using the implant menus.
** When using the iCuffs:Colors commands to change the color scheme of a sub's cuffs, if they are chained to an iPost, the colors of the iPost will also be changed to match the same color scheme.
** If a sub is in hardcore ownership mode, you can sell them using the post! Just chain them to it, then set the post itself for sale. Your ownership of the sub will transfer to the buyer of the post automatically when they buy it. It also contains links to the manual in both English and Japanese.

MH+ RestrainedLife Viewer Controller

=============================

The MH+ RLVC (restrained life viewer controller) is a single prim wearable controller designed for subs and thier owners to easily restrain them in Second Life. Designed speficially as single point full range controller, the MH+ RLVC provides virtually all* RLV functions, with a single button push.

Features include easy to navigate menus and clearly presented commands for the novice user to expert. Functions are grouped together so finding the right command is simple and intuitive.

Features include:

- Keep Sit feature to automatically resit your sub when they log in/out.

- Keep ENV feature, after login keeps currently environment again.

- Status displays on each menu, so you know what is set at a glance.

- Owner registration.

- Protected mode or Everyone access mode.

- Selectable communication channel for security.

- Easy to use single prim sub-HUD or two prim Owner-HUD buttons provided on demand for one touch access.

- SIM wide range.

- Easy Navigation of shared folders. Browse forward or back through the list. No need to name a folder something special to access it quickly!

- At a glance display capacity for shared folder names. When you access the inventory screen you will see xxxx/1023 and can adjust the names of the folders as needed to fit more items.

Owner-centric features include:

- KeepSIT forces the sub to return to the device they were placed on if they log in/out*. No more relogging to get out of punishment.
- Restrict the sub's access to menu functions. (the sub can in an emergency clear all).
- If the sub uses the emergency override you will be notified and can take appropriate action.
- Restrict the sub's access to owners or the public.
- Control up to 12 subs with one HUD button. Any number of subs can be controlled by simply wearing addtional buttons.
- Subs are added via easy notecard editing and can be commented out if they are, for example, on vacation.
- Call Sub 2nd button on the Owner HUD to tp your sub to you (works in same sim only).

* KEEP SIT requires the furniture to not be used by another avatar when the sub is logged out. (In testing this feature does work with many objects with subsiquent users, it's still a good idea to not have someone else use the furniture.)

* The MH+ RLVC requires the RestrainedLife viewer 1.12.x or higher.

* RLV relay is no needs. If anyone knows an in-world location, the updated information would be most helpful.

The following is taken directly from the included help file.

DISCLAIMER: This relay is the one OpenCollar's has been based on since version 3.2. So don't be surprised to find many similarities. However both relays followed their own ways and now have some noticeable differences: for instance OpenCollar's is well integrated to the collar's auth subsystem whereas this HUD relay focuses more on experimental features, and as it is a HUD also provides visual indicators the collar relay cannot have.

This relay is a multi-object relay, with some extra features.

It conforms to the Open Relay Group (ORG) specifications version 0001 (which include RLVR 1.100 compatiblity).
It is "Multi" in the sense that in opposition to most relay that were made before year 2009, it won't reject commands from new devices when you are already controlled by one.

Main features
- several concurrently restraining devices supported
- classic ask/auto/off modes
- extra mode: restricted
- extra submodes playful, restraining
- (togglable) safeword
- NEW: evil safeword - when someone is around you, they will be asked to help you. When you are alone you just get freed. (thanks Vala Vella for adding this!)
- autolocking when restrained, and impossibility to turn the relay off or cut the already restraining sources off
- black and white lists for objects and avatars
- informative HUD
- !who (now ORG !x-who) and ORG !x-handover new metacommands†
- @thirdview unofficial pseudocommand‡
- not vulnerable to the "arbitrary text on arbitray channel", and "shout garbage on public chat" loopholes
- not vulnerable to the stack-heap collision issue when requests accumulate (rejects them when there are too many)
- ORG !x-channel metacommand (ORG). Lessens the lag by switching relay chat to another channel.
- ORG !x-email metacommand (ORG). Enables gridwide (cross-sim) access. (you will need a compatible device for controlling your relay gridwide, such as the Witchy Remote, which I blatantly advertise! You may find it there:
- auto-updates via HippoUpdate
Note: the auto-update script is the only script that isn't mine and that I don't license and distribute full perm. It is no mod only for hiding the password of my update server (but as this update server is only for free items, I will consider making the script full perm too if I can be sure that divulging this "password" is no security issue). Delete the script if it bugs you that the contents of one of the scripts are not visible, it will only stop auto-updating but won't prevent the relay from working correctly.

Potentially coming in the future:
- ORG !x-vision
- ORG !x-animate
- <insert>

Menus buttons:
(Note that irrelevant buttons are automatically hidden in the dialogs. Don't be surprised if you don't always have all those buttons!)

In the main dialog:
* Mode (xxxx): the relay is in mode xxxx. Click this to go the next mode.
Current modes are:
* Off: the relay is disabled
* Restricted: the relay rejects every future request (except from whitelisted devices and devices already controlling you)
* Ask: the relay asks before accepting future requests (except from white or blacklisted devices)
* Auto: the relay accepts every future request (except from blacklisted devices)
* Playf (off/on): en/disable automatic acceptation of non-restraining commands (combines with the previous modes)
* SW (off/on/evil): en/disables the possibility to safeword when restricted or enables the evil Safeword
* Grabbed by: shows the list of devices currently controlling your avatar, and the list of restrictions they enforce.
* Refresh: checks that every device restricting you is reachable. Restrictions from unreachable devices will be cleared.
* Pending: shows the request dialog, in case there are pending requests
* Help: gives this notecard
* SAFEWORD: clears all restrictions and lists
* Access lists: opens the access list management dialog, for removing trusted or banned sources

In the request dialog:
* Yes: accept this command (and other commands from the same device until unrestricted)
* No: rejects this command (and other commands from the same device in the few following seconds)
* Trust Object: same as Yes, but adds the object to the whitelist
* Ban Object: same as No, but adds the object to the blacklist
* Trust Owner: same as Yes, but adds the owner of the object to the whitelist
* Ban Owner: same as No, but adds the owner of the object to the blacklist
* Trust User: same as Yes, but adds the avatar using the object to the whitelist
* Ban User: same as No, but adds the avatar using the object to the blacklist

HUD code:
* slightly transparent: relay is on but not locked
* blinking: there are pending authorization requests
* opaque: relay is locked, the hovering number tells how many sources grab you
* greenish: auto mode
* natural colors (brass yellowish): ask mode
* redish: restricted mode
* strongly transparent and dark: relay is off

†: the meta-commands !who and !handover are now part of the protocol version 1.040... and now removed in 1.100, but salvaged by the ORG as !x-who and !x-handover

‡: @thirdview looks like a RLV command but it is not. This command tells the relay to "enforce" mouselook by whatever possible mean and is used by some furniture makers... maybe making the bet that this would eventually be implemented in a viewer.
I support it as it poses no particular issue, but it is clearly borderline with respect to both RLVR and ORG specifications to do so.

Changelog:
0.99:
* added the evil Safeword functions. Adapted by Vala Vella from Marissa Mistwallow's relay, via Toy Wylie's smart relay ;-). See SafeKeeper Script for details.
* revamped the main dialog. Now buttons do reflect the current setting instead of the next one.
* distance control for relay answers (no need to spam all the already laggy sim with relay replys)
* access lists are reset on owner change
* added a manual locking menu option to provide a means against accidental detaching of the relay (by Toy Wylie)
* memory optimizations backported from OpenCollar (thanks Donna Klamath for optimizing OC Relay btw)
0.98:
* added owner names in the "Grabbed by" output
0.97:
* added "Refresh" for clearing restrictions from unreachable devices
* added reinforcement of rescrictions if the relay has been displaced although it was locked
* removed the non restraining mode, as it makes the relay "lie" and not being compliant with the RLVR specification (the code is still in there in gatekeeper script if you want to uncomment it)
0.96:
* !x-tensions became !x-orgversions
* the relay is now supposed to be reachable directly by email (if the controlling devices knows its email adress)
<0.96:>

tk RLV HUD RLV Relay

Please post your reviews/comments/questions etc as a Comment

http://slurl.com/secondlife/LaSalle/35/92/32

Cost: Free

Copied from their note card...

Using the Relay - HUD version

The RLVR HUD attaches by default to the top center of the screen. You can move it if you need to without affecting it's functionality. You'll see the RL Padlock when the HUD is attached. Click the lock and you'll get the menu for changing the state of the Relay, and the RL "insert" changes colors to remind you what state it's in.

NOTE: The HUD IMMEDIATELY sets itself to "NO DETACH" and "ON-ASK", once its on, its on and cannot be removed unless you switch to a non-RestrainedLife viewer or switch the relay OFF (and if you are 'locked' to a device you can not switch it off).

HUD STATES/ MENU OPTIONS

OFF (WHITE w/SLASH CIRCLE) Relay disabled and will not pass any commands from the furniture to the viewer

ON (Ask) (GREEN) - RL Commands are passed, but you will have to grant permission for the device to send them. Safest mode since you will have to grant permission on every action. NOTE: You are granting permission for a DEVICE to use your HUD and give it commands. NOT the PERSON doing it. Be aware of who is doing what.

ON (Auto) (YELLOW) - RL Commands are passed freely without asking any permissions. CAUTION: In this condition ANY RL COMMANDS WILL BE ACTED ON IMMEDIATELY.

SAFEWORD In "Real Life" you should establish a 'Safeword' before you go into any scene. People have said the 'Safeword' for Restrained Life is to log off an log back on with the normal viewer. Given the weirdness of SL at times, the problems that can come from not being able to log back on, crashing out sometimes leaving people in a state of RL Limbo (locked down with out a way to get unlocked) we've had multiple requests to find a better way. So you have the SAFEWORD option. When you click this button you will have to confirm THREE times you want to SAFEWORD, then a final confirmation.

When you SAFEWORD

all restrictions from THIS Relay are cleared

the Relay is set to OFF

the Relay will SHOUT that you have SAFE WORDED and you may require assistance

You may only disable the SAFEWORD when you are NOT locked down or resticted.

S-WORD OFF
Then again, some people think the SAFEWORD option is a bit wishy-washy, so this option. When you click this you will have to confirm and then the SAFEWORD is removed from the RELAY. ** PERMANENTLY ** (see below on the PERMANENCE)

HARDCORE (RED) - EXTREME CAUTION!!!!!!

Another option we've been asked for. This is for the HARDCORE sub. When you click this, you will have to confirm you really, really want to do this.

HARDCORE MODE

- the Relay is set to NO DETACH. ** PERMANENTLY **
- the Relay is set to AUTO ACCEPT ** PERMANENTLY **

If you SAFEWORD in HARDCORE mode, your restrictions are released and the Relay shouts HOWEVER THE RELAY IS LEFT ON AND STILL IN AUTO ACCEPT. You can get recaptured IMMEDIATELY. Hope you can run quick. HARDCORE can ONLY be turned on when you are NOT locked down.

Interaction between SAFEWORD and HARDCORE.

It IS possible to both disable SAFEWORD and HARDCORE. However you must do it in this order

not be locked down or restricted

disable SAFEWORD

invoke HARDCORE.

This will make you totally vulnerable to any and all Restrained Life devices. Use this with the greatest of care.

** PERMANENTLY **

OK, what does PERMANENT mean here? Basically when you invoke a permanent option, you can not undo it. Can't reset the scripts, nada. So how to you get out of the mess you put yourself in?

1) log off with the RL viewer

2) log on with the 'normal' viewer
3) detach the Relay and destroy it, it's useless now

4) get a new Relay, wear it

5) log off and then back on with the RL Viewer

New Relay/Menu interaction

Previous version of the Relay would let you waste a lot of time, it was rather silly to give you the OFF/AUTO/ASK buttons when you are restricted. So, if you can't do something, you don't get the buttons when you click.

Translation:
When you are locked down, you only get the SAFEWORD button.
If you aren't locked, you get all the buttons except for SAFEWORD.
If you turn off SAFEWORD and then are locked down, you get nothing but a sinde comment.
If you're in HARDCORE and not locked, you get nothing but another snide comment.
If you're HARDCORE and locked, you get SAFEWORD ONLY.
If you're HARDCORE and turned off SAFEWORD, why even try?

Extra Functionality

This version of the tk RLV HUD also adds some NON-RL functionality to simplify having to have a mass of HUDSto keep track of! The first item is our MOUSELOOK ENFORCER, first used by the P3X-888. Just wear the HUD andno matter if the HUD is on or off, it will assist in the MOUSELOOK enforcement of our toys. MORE FEATURES TO COME!.

Updates

The HUD will automatically give you an update when changes are made and you wear it. If you want to check for new versions wear the HUD and it will be delivered automatically, or come by the store and grab a fresh copy.

Selected Toys will now have a "Get RLV HUD" button on their menus, click this and you will have the latest version delivered to you immediately.

Dominatech RLV Relay

Please post your reviews/comments/questions etc as a Comment

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dunnylun/112/16/501

Cost: Free

Copied from their note card

== Free RLV Relay HUD ==
In order for furniture and other in-world devices to take advantage of the Restrained Life Viewer, you must wear an RLV Relay. There are a number of free ones available in world -- this one is ours. It's designed to be as unobtrusive as possible while being easy to use, so no huge logos or icons, just click for a simple menu with simple options. Despite this, it does display more information and has some features not found in some of the other relays out there, which is the reason we decided to make our own rather than simply offer one of the several free relays already available. It's free, so give it a try and see if you like it better.

First, just wear it. You'll see a tiny green LED appear on the bottom of your screen, a bit to the left. (It attaches to the "bottom" HUD attachment point, but you're free to move it if you like. Be aware that if you position it on the top, you might not be able to read the hovertext that appears when you're being restrained.) If you use the Second Life viewer's toolbar on the bottom of your screen, you might need to move the relay up a tad. On my screen it's still visible even with the toolbar on, but your screen and UI size settings may differ. If you can't see it, go to the menu bar > View > Toolbar to toggle it off to show it if you can't otherwise see the relay.

Once worn, you can click on the relay to bring up a menu where you can set the permissions mode, enable "safeword" support, or reset the HUD.

* Mode: This button toggles the permissions mode between "Auto-accept" and "Ask permission". When set to "Auto-accept", any attempts to control you are automatically accepted. This is dangerous, but of course, that's the whole point, isn't it? ;) Nevertheless, some people may only want to be controlled by certain significant others rather than just anyone, so you can switch it from the default auto-accept mode to "Ask permission" instead. When set in "Ask permission" mode, permission is only automatically granted to objects you own, any other devices asking to use the relay will prompt a dialog box on your screen, where you must grant that device permission to control you. If you say "Yes", it is given control, if you say "No", it is not.

* Safeword: Thus button toggles the safeword status beween "Unavailable" and "Available". When a device takes control of you, clicking on the relay normally gives you a box with a little info but no options -- you're completely helpless. However, if the safeword is available, you get one option, "Scream". If you select it, you scream out the safeword. This frees you from control and resets the relay. It also shouts this fact out to be heard by everyone within 100m of you! Note that since the scripts in the relay are reset, all options will revert to their defaults, including the safeword option reverting to its default setting of "Unavailable". Thus, each time you use the safeword, you'll need to re-enable the option afterwards to be able to continue to use it. Also, see the note below about resetting the relay.

* Reset: This button resets the scripts in the relay. You should probably never need to do this, but it's here just in case. This option doesn't cause any loud screaming, but it's only available if you aren't restrained. Note that if you've recently used the "Scream" command, you don't need to use this -- they do the same thing, with the exception that "Scream" notifies everyone within 100m that you've done it, while "Reset" is discreet.

A word on resetting the relay:

The relay actually contains two scripts. We have one script we use as the guts of the relay functionality in all our products that have it, and then one other script that controls the first and also contains any features that are specific to that particular product. Because of this two-script design, there's an interesting implication to what happens when scripts are reset.

In order to make sure that options in the control script don't get out of sync with settings in the relay script, when the first script resets, it has to sleep for a short time while the second script resets, to prevent options from being changed in one before being reset in the other, getting the two out of sync, which would be bad. Therefore, when the control script resets, it sleeps for a while waiting for the relay script to reset. Since lag can cause the time for this to occur to be highly variable, we allow an extremely generous 30 seconds before the control script wakes back up. That means that, after your relay is reset, there's up to a 30 second window during which the relay script might be operational and accepting requests using the default options while the control script is still sleeping, preventing you from changing the options from their default settings: auto-accept and no safeword. You should be aware of this, and consider this before using the "Reset" or "Scream" options.

This will not change in future versions, as we consider this to be a desireable feature of the relay. The "safeword" option is not meant to prevent you from ever loosing control -- if that's what you want, uninstall the Restrained Life Viewer. The safeword is meant to be used while testing furniture alone, or debugging devices you're developing, to restore control when there's no one around to free you. (I added this feature after being trapped on devices I was creating, while still working the bugs out.) It's not meant to be used with people around. If there are people around, this feature intentionally gives them a thirty-second window to reestablish control over you while the permissions and safeword are disabled. In real life, using your safeword depends on those around you allowing it -- you're helpless if they don't choose to go along with it. The same is true here.

So be careful with the "Scream" command; it may very well free you for the moment, but you've just let everyone within 100m know that you've done it, and some may know that doing so leaves you completely vulnerable for 30 seconds, and if they recapture you while the safeword is disabled, you'll have just made yourself even more helpless than before. If there are people around, you're probably better off just begging for help, and saving the safeword to use to escape if they leave you alone. Either that, or be prepared to run fast once you use it. :) Good luck.

Any comments or questions, IM Julia Banshee. Standard is right forearem, but you can attach it wherever you want.

Open menu
just click on it - or: type '/17 remote' (that will work only for the owner!)

Catch a victim
How to use: Click on your control....a menu appears (if the furniture has an own menu, both menus will appear). Chose the button 'victim...'...the victim menu appears. Here you can scan for victims (a list of near avatars appears..now chose your victim). To add a current victim to the history list, press the button 'add actual'. Next time there will be a button with the name of the current victim in the Victim menu.

The chosen victim will be forced to sit on your furniture. This works ONLY if the victim uses the RestrainedLife viewer and wears a relay. Chose 'restrict' to disable tp to your victim.

Release a victim
To get free, Press Button 'free'.

Access rights
If you want to give other people the possibility to use your remote control:

- How to set rights: Permanent Operators can be defined in the Notecard 'SD_Settings', each operator in one line 'operator=Susan Daviau;' or 'operator=Susan Daviau,9f679225-7502-48d1-bf22-c096cded2345;' (the UUID is only needed if a notivication is wanted, see below) All other can be defined with the button 'Access...'. Just click on 'All', 'Group', 'Victim' to toggle the rights Click on 'add...' to give another avatar rights, this new one has to be within the sensor range Click on 'remove...' to remove rights from an avatar.- You can set the acces rights in the notecard SD_Settings with an entry like access=yny; yny stands for ALL/GROUP/VICTIM...y=yes, n=no

Locking of the settings
If you want to give access to All or Group, but don'T want to allow them to change access rights, sitobjects, .., so just lock the settings via the button "Lock Settings". To Unlock, just 'UL Settings'. If Settings are locked, only operators and the owner can change the called settings. You can set that permanently with an entry 'settingsLocked=TRUE;' in the notecard SD_Settings

RLV Actions
Chose the Button RLV, then you get a menu with RLV acctions.

Restrains - opens a menu to set restrains like no chat, no IM, no tp, no fly, no show names, ....

AddException - opens a menu to set exceptions to the Restrains for yourself only (if IM is disabled, enable IM to you, ...)
RemoveException - opens a menu to delete exceptions to the Restrains for yourself only (if IM is disabled, remvoe the "enable IM to you", ...)
Attach inv - opens a menu to attach predefined objects to your victim (works only with RLV 1.11.2 and if the victim has installed the folder #RLV)
Detach inv - opens a menu to detach predefined objects from your victim (works only with RLV 1.11.2 and if the victim has installed the folder #RLV)
Quick - opens a menu with common restrain sets
- Helpless: Set most of the RLV restrictions, makes your victim helpless..no tp, no sit, no communication in chat or IM, no rezz, no edit, no outfit changes, no inventory, no maps, no notecards, no fartouch
- Dis-/EnableInv: close the inventory window, or allows to open it again
- Strip: strips all non-prim-clothes, detach prim shoes, disable outfit adds
- Dis-/EnableTP: Disables TP, tp via sit, tp via friends
- Dis-/enableCom: disables communication in chat and IM
- Dis-/Enable Maps: disables the use of all maps and hides the name of the current regionUndress - opens a menu to undress non-prim-clothesDetach - opens a menu to detach attachments and hudsCheck - checks if the victim is using a RLVreleaseAll - release the Victim

Structured Inventory Menu (EasyStructure)
You have so much subfolders in #RLV that you want to structure them?

Then give each subfolder you want to see in one submenu a prefix, starting with '#'.
Example:#RLV
- #RR collar
- #RR Gag
- #RR Blindfold
- #RR Police
- #RR Shackles
- #Dari Gag
- #Dari BlindFold...

The Attach inv menu will then contain a button 'RR...' and a button 'Dari...'. Pressing that buttons you will get submenus containing the buttons for each folder.

Forced Sit:
How to set the sit object: Open the menu with the button 'Sit...'. Just click on 'sitObject', the controller scans for objects nearby and opens a menu to chose the object.. Thats all.

Forced TP:
Force your victim to tp to anywhere in SL.

There are 2 modes:
1. local: force the tp via the victims relay directly as usual.
2. remote; force the tp via sending a message to the relay from far away, even if you are in another sim then your victim.

This mode works only if the victim uses one of my relays version >= 1.058. Sorry, but tahts not a standard RLV call, so other relay builders don'T have that in their relay. To avoid griefing, the remote tp works ONLY if you ahve restrained the victim before with the remote control and the relay is blocked.

There are 2 sub-menus:
Stored Locations: You can set up to 7 locations in the Notecard 'SD settings'.
Last Locations: the remote logs your tp's and stores the last 7 locations. You can
- addChat: say a location in chat, the location will be added to the last locations menu
- addActual: adds your actual position to the last locations menu.

There are 2 tp modes:
- Disable TP: the victim will be restricted after the tp: all tp is disabled
- Enable TP: the victim will not be tp-restricted after the tp.

Actions:
- chose a destination button, the victim will be tp'Ed to that
- TPChat: say a location in chat, and the victim will be forced to tp to there. The Location will not be stored in the menu.
- TP to here (remote only): tp's your victim to your own actual location.

Remote
With the force tp you can send your victim to other places. As the victims relay will be still blocked by your relay, i implemented some remote functions.

All these remote functions are not RLV standard, so i am sorry they will work only with my relays version >= 1.058.Please be aware, that using that remote functions the remote menu will not be available for some seconds, because of Linden restrictions to remote communication. In most cases the remote will open the main menu about that after sending commands.
- release - will remote release the victim
- reset - will reset the victims relay
- start loc - your victim will send you messages where the victim actually plays
- stop loc - stop sending location messages

Pressing the More... button you will get some special functions:

Scanner:
Scan for people using RLV and a relay.
- Check: searches one time
- Start: starts a permanent scanner. This will cause a little bit lag, so please don't use that regularly. This function will stop itself after a longe r time.
- Stop: stops the permanent scanning.

Random Mode:
Starting that mode, the remote will search randomly for people and offers them to take the control over your victim. This will work even if you drop the remote to ground. Its an experimental function, perhaps you want to tell me your experiences so i can optimize the function?

Update
To update your item you now only need to stand near one of the Susan Updater's and press the update button. You can find an Updater at one of the below locations and while your there check out our latest products.

- Troubleshooting:

- It doesn'T work?
Be sure the script is in the root prim. Sometimes, especially in laggy situations, the restraining mechanisme will fail.
Use the menu and chose the button 'restrict', then the script tries again to restrict you rvictim. Just try it again, perhaps it helps to reset the whole furniture Perhaps your victim doesn't use the RLV relay.

IF you need help, call me. - How to get free, there is no other person, or something unexpected happened?
Try one of that:
1. Disable your RestrainedLife Relay
2. Reset the furniture
3. Relog
4. Log out and relog without RestrainedLife

- there are other RLV controls triggering the same commands when you are using your control The controls are using chat channels. Just reset your control (via edit), then it will have changed the channel
- Can't attach or detach Inventory
You must have a folder #RLV in your inventory
In the #RLV folder you can place other folders the contents of which can then be attached and detached with the control Objects should not be placed directly in the #RLV folder. Folders in the #RLV folder shuld not be nested

Release Notes
1.061 Major release- added remote functions from far away (please read function restrictions)- added victim chose with history entries. - add chat commant /17 remote- restructured Menu- better location list in forced tp. Activating the ring
2. Owner
3. Wearer
4. Upgrading
5. Menu system
6. Relays
7. Passkeys
8. Cheating (resetting the ring)
_________________________________________________________________________
1. Activating the ring
To select the ring simply click on the ring or type "ring" or exactly the first name (note case sensitive) on channel 77 eg: /77 ring or /77 Mars or /77 * (everyone within 20m) The ring has a large invisible orb around it so it should be quite easy to click on it. You can use Ctrl + Alt + T (PC) to see transparent objects.
Depending on whether you are the wearer, the owner, a secondary owner or someone else and the status of the ring you may get one or more menus.

2. Owner
To become the owner of the ring you must activate it and of course it must not already be owned.

The wearer will be asked if they wish to Submit to you. If they do then you will become their owner and can restrict the wearer in various ways but this only works when the wearer is running the RestraintedLife Viewer. These are real restrictions which last over the wearer logging off.

If the owner logs off as a safety protocol all functions switch back on except Detach. When the owner returns online all functions re-engage so the wearer should behave. This safety feature may only be switched off by the wearer whilst they are the designated owner of the ring.
When the timer is running (SL timer so when user logs off the clock stops). The timer prevents the wearer from downgrading any of the restrictions. On completion of the timer period the wearer is released (but not detached).

Note: when the ring is upgraded it is reset but Ownership & safety settings will persist. Only secondary owners are lost.

3. Wearer
You must be running the RestrainedLife Viewer for these commands to work. Go to Marine's shop to download it plus get all Marine's other great toys. Or you just download directly from http://www.erestraint.com/realrestraint

Some of the detail options did not become available until version 1.10 so please check you have the latest RL Viewer before reporting any problems.

You can become the owner but remember setting a timer will disable functions from you (self bondage is fun ... honest).

The ring may me worn anywhere (including on your HUD if you dont want others to click it) but recommended left or right hand.

It should be Modifiable (if purchased from an authorised vendor) and may be added to other prims and possibly hidden. There are 2 prims the ring itself and a clear orb around the ring to assist clicking for access to it.

When using the menus if your ring is owned by someone else and they have placed restrictions or a timer is running some of the options may be preceeded by an "x" or number. This means they are disabled. 3 means set by owner and 2 means set by secondary owner. Secondary owners may not change settings set by the owner and the wearer is of course subordinate to all owners (namely a 1).

The ring has a bling (flash) which can be switched on or off by /54bling on & /54bling off respectively

4. Upgrading
Yes there are free upgrades!

Lots of them as I correct bugs and add new features. The Upgrade function is available via the own menu and so may only be initiated by the owner (not the wearer unless they are unowned).
General instructions as follows:

4.1 Go to an authorised Mars Productions sales board, scroll to the Upgrade Centre section and download the Upgrader. Alternatively when an upgrade comes out I'll normally attach it to the notice I send out to the Mars Productions group.

4.2 The wearer should be wearing the ring and rez the upgrade object on the ground in a SIM that allows it. DO NOT SIMPLY COPY THE UPGRADER CONTENTS INTO YOUR RING - it will be ruined if you do this. You have been warned and I wont guarentee a timely replacement (although I will replace it FOC if you ask nicely, grovel a bit or spend some time in one of my mazes).

4.3 The owner should click on the ring (of select by other means) so they get the menu. Then select Own Menu and then Upgrade Ring

4.4 Wait for all the upgrades to complete. The Upgrader will self destruct at the end of the upgrade cycle. So when the box disappears its done its job.

4.5 Any notecards added by the upgrade may end up duplicated. The one with the highest version number should be renamed after the other older versions deleted. eg:

Look at the contents of the ring and you may see several notecards for example
Mars Ring of Compliance Instructions
Mars Ring of Compliance Instructions 1
Mars Ring of Compliance Instructions 2

The last one should be the latest.

Delete the first 2 and rename the last one and all should be ok Note: there are no critical sections which may get duplicated (and I'll fix this deficiency sometime)

4.6 In the past the owner had to re-aquire ownership of the ring as it would have been effectively reset. However the ring now remembers the owner, home location, pass key number & safety settings so the only things lost are current restraints, secondary owners & TP locations not recorded in the Teleport Locations notecard. This process takes about 30 secs to complete (as the script which does it has to be sure all other scripts have reset successfully) - so please be patient...

5. Menu system
All owners and the wearer may get menus. Also passing doms may register by clicking on the ring (of selecting it). Contents of menus may change depending on who you are and whether any restrictions have be applied.
There are 5 menus:

5.0 Main Menu
5.1 Detail 1 Menu - go to first of two Detail menus (individual restraint options)
5.2 Detail 2 Menu - go to second Detail menu
5.3 Time Menu - go to Timer menu
5.3.1 Add Time Menu
5.4 Move Menu - go to location restraining menu
5.4.1 Set Range Menu
5.4.2. Force TP Menu
5.5 Own Menu - go to menu regarding ownership, upgrades etc
5.5.1 Secondary Menu - go to Menu to add/remove secondary owners (Sub menu to Owner Menu)
5.6 Wear Menu - go to menu regarding forced clothing attachment or removal 5.6.1 Clothing Menu - remove clothing (non prim)
5.6.2 Attachment Menu - remove attachments (prims)
5.6.3 #RLV menus

Instructions - give this notecard

Status - displays in chat what restraints are in operation

Allow All - permits all functions (equivalent to not wearing the restraint). Only exception is detach this is not reset by this option so the owner has time to select other functions.

Deny All - switches all inhibitors on (see Detail menu)

Gag - switch to gag (equivalent to clicking on the Mars Gag). If no Mars Gag responds it apply demo Mars Gag (Important Note: dont use if the wearer is already wearing a non compatible gag - it will may thrown if it does not respond within 10 secs to the ring)
Skirt - equivalent to clicking on the Mars Skirt if worn

5.2.1/2 Detail Menu
Main - return to Main menu
Detail x Menu - switch to other detail menu
Detail Menu 1
Rec Chat (1)- allow/deny see chat from those other than owner
Send Chat (1) - allow/deny type in open chat to anyone
Rec IM (1) - allow/deny receive Instant Messages from those other than owner
Send IM (1)- allow/deny send Instant Messages to those other than owner
Detach (1) - allow/deny detach this object from the body
TP LM (1) - allow/deny TelePort to Land Marks
TP Loc (1) - allow/deny TelePort to Locations on the map
TP Friend (1) - allow/deny TelePort to Friend's location
Remote Sit (1) - allow/deny sit on an object more than 1.5m away (not to be confused with No Sit). Good for preventing wearer from escaping from cells etc.
Edit/Build (1) - allow/deny editing or building in world
Rez objects (1) - allow/deny rezzing objects from inventory in world

Detail Menu 2
Wear (2) - allow/deny wearing of non-prim clothing other than that already worn (see Strip Menu)
Strip (2) - allow/deny removal of non-prim clothing (see Strip Menu)
Inventory (2) - switch on/off display of inventory window & closes windows if currently open
Notes (2) - allow/deny viewing of note cards
Stand (2) - allow/deny standing up from pose balls
Hide/Show Loc - Hides or shows the location information concerning the wearer's current position so they will be lost and not know where they are
Touch (2) - allow/deny touching objects > 1.5 m away
Fly (2) - allow /deny flying

WorldMap / MiniMap - allow / deny seeing appropriate maps
Hide/Show names - allow / deny seeing names & tags over avatars

If a restraint is set by the primary owner then it cannot be revoked by a secondary owner (and obviously the wearer). However restraints set by lower privileged people may be overriden. Privilege order is as follows:

Owner (3 = highest)
Secondary Owner(s) (2)
Wearer (1 = lowest)
Others have no access.

You will see these numbers on the menu against any restraint set by a more privileged user. You will not be able to change them (if you can then its a bug which should be reported to Mars .... pleeeeeze).

Some of these commands will conflict with one another and active RLV relays. For example Force Sit and No Sit or No Rem Sit. The No Sit function will try up to 20 times to make the wearer stand then give up. When it does the function may be reset by clicking Allow Sit followed by No Sit again.

5.3 Time Menu
The owner may set a timer to release the wearer after a certain time. Maximum time is restricted to 10 days online. Note this is not RL time but time the wearer is online and wearing the ring. For self bondage one the timer has been started the wearer may only increase the level or restraint.
Run Timer - runs timer based on displayed value
Clear Timer - set timer to zero mins
Main - return to Main menu
Add time - goes to a submenu permitting adding time to timer before starting (desabled when timer is running)

5.4 Move Menu
Freeze / Unfreeze - freezes wearer in place (nasty !)

Follow - wearer follows the owner

Force Sit - scans for objects 10mrangesstrong- wearer restricted to range from current location This can be cruel. You restrict the wearer to a range from their current location. If they go outside then the restraint gets worse (first restricting chat, then IM etc). If they move to another region max restraints apply (including freeze, except TP back). Any such restraints added will not be released until the owner returns and frees them or a suitable penalty time has elapsed. The longer they stay outside the designated zone the longer their punishment. If they stay too long outside an automatic TP will bring them back. This may not work in regions they cannot rez objects and so they will be given a World Map to TP to or Force TP'd.
unrestricted - cancels range limitations

Note as these are automated the Detail Menu may not report correctly after auto punishment. The owner should check the real situation using Status. Use a Deny followed by Allow to reset values correctly.

Suggestion for wearer: if you get movement restricted take a LM of where you have been restricted to otherwise if you are naughty and leave the vicinity you can return (wont work if your owner has restricted TP to LM heehee).

5.4.1 Force TP
Set Home - will rememer the wearers current position (even if the ring is reset / upgraded) and can be used to send them there with...
TP Home - Force TP's to Home position (not to be confused with SL Home)
Read TP File - reads the Teleport Locations notecard in the ring. This has useful locations you may wish to Force TP to. Format is:description, region (x,y,z cords)
eg: My shop is in there as : Mars Shop,Devils Island (167, 183, 570)
Add Current - adds the current location of the wearer to the list (note this is lost when the ring is upgraded or reset)
TP List - displays a list of known locations (see Add Current & Teleport Locations notecard). If one is selected the wearer is Force TP'd there or point to point TP if in the same region.

5.5. Own Menu
Upgrade ring - to upgrade you must follow the upgrade system instructions and select this option to replace your ring scripts. Owner and Home position are remembered during upgrades but current restraints and secondary owners are forgotten. Please dont try this whilst force sat ... you will get stuck !

Secondary - goes to secondary ownership menu

Release - relinquish ownership. Restraints remain in force but wearer may take control.

Safety Off/On - by default restraints (except detach) are released if the owner goes offline. The wearer may set Safety Off and pass control to the owner so the restraints remain when the owner is offline. This may similarly be achieved by use of the timer although ownership is removed when the timer expires. Note safety off is remembered over script resets
SWST Activate/Stop - you only see this if you have the Speak When Spoken To addin installed. It activates or deactivates the SWST option. See addin notes.
Relay On/Off - Activates or deactivates the RestrainedLife Relay interface. This will allow furniture scripts written to Marine's standard to make use of the RLV in the wearer. Check out https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Protocol/RestrainedLifeRelaySpecs for more details

5.5.1. Secondary Menu
You may have up to 10 secondary owners. They have a limited set of options but basically may only restrain the wearer more than they already are restrained. Secondary owners are included in the list of permitted people when restricting IM, open chat and TP to friend's location.

Add - scans for people <>6. Relays
There are two RLV relays in the ring.
One conforms to the standard set by Marine Kelly and may be switched on / off by the owner as required (see 5.5). The only difference is that it operates Region wide so that it may interface correctly with large Mars Control Zones.

The other is internal and only works with Mars Products - this is so that systems such as the Mars Control Zone do not prevent use of RLV Relay compatible furniture. This relay is always active.

When a reset command comes from a relay the Ring resets itself to the restraints previously used by owners. Note however that if they do not issue the reset then some restraints may not be correct until you relog. Only way out of this is for you to inform the 3rd supplier of the furniture used that they might better issue resets (!Clear) rather than relax each restraint in turn.

The Mars Control Zone operates in a different way and will attempt to use the internal relay. On relaxing its restraints it behaves as if it was a secondary owner. Thus primary owner restraints are unaltered and secondary owner restraints are relaxed.

7. Pass keys
This are for owners of a number of subs who wish to give secondary control to a number of others. For example a prison owner may wish the guards all have control over the inmates and not wish to have to add each guard to each inmate's ring.

The sequence to set up passkeys:
1. The owner clicks on the wearer's ring
2. Through the owner menu and then secondary menu click on Set Pass key
3. Enter a passkey to the special (random) channel (eg: /7356 1234567). Note keys may be from 1 - 999,999,999 (9 digits). If less than 6 digits the key is considered weak.
4. A real key object is given when the owner clicks on Give key. This needs to be programmed to the same number as set on the ring.
5. The key may then be handed out to the guards / secondary owners.

Note: if running a prison, all keys may be the same number (keep hidden even from the guards). Earlier programmed keys will work with new inmates once their passkey is correctly set on their ring.

8. Cheating (resetting the ring)
There comes a time when you want out from the one who owns you (like the bozo who locked and left me the other day). Or something has gone wrong and you need to reset.

If its a straight reset then you need to do the following:
1. Right click the ring & select Edit.
2. If Detach is greyed out then you need to relog in a Stanard Viewer (sorry)

Either: Simple reset (keeps ownership, pass key & home location)
3A. Go to Tools/Reset Scripts in selection.
4A. Wait 30secs for the scripts to settle down

Or: Full reset (revokes owners etc).
3B. Click on General tab (click More if you dont see that).
4B. Completely clear the text out of the Descriptions field
5B. Go to Tools/Reset Scripts in selection.
6B. Wait 30secs for the scripts to settle down

Note: if you had other restraints set and still running the RLV then you may have to reset them as the ring wont know (yet) what previous operations have done. Two ways to solve this.
Either:
a. Do a Deny All followed by an Allow All or
b. Simply relog

Have fun !
♥ Mars Tamale ♥

RestrainedLife Viewer (RLV)

Please post your reviews/comments/questions etc on this product or service as a Comment

Download from

WINDOWS : http://www.erestraint.com/realrestraint/
MACOS X (courtesy of Mo Noel) : http://www.erestraint.com/realrestraint
LINUX : (courtesy of Loom Kish) : http://www.loomiverse.net/RestrainedLife

http://realrestraint.blogspot.com/2008/08/objects-sharing-tutorial.html for tutorial explaining how to share folders properly, both with mod and no-mod objects.

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Protocol/Restrained_Life_Relay/Specification
